The more I see of politics the more I hate politics.
So here is my simple statement …I hate politics but I love my country…
The politician says lets discuss issues. I say ok then they start to sway.
So here is why I believe Barak Obama will win the next election. It has nothing to do with his failed policies or the fact that unemployment is at an all time high. These things are unimportant.The wall street protest are unimportant. This is all that matters. If that is not enough these images should do it. Sure we have our small group of people who actually think about issues but the vast majority of people are swayed by the political spin machines and in this high tech world of face book and twitter nobody has done a better job than the Obama image machine. He is funny . Nobody delivers a slogan better than him….I mean theses images are what he is running against…newt (video) mitt (video) Rick (video) Ron ( video). In the movie Network the mad newsman said it like it is….(video). Billions of dollars will be spent not on the message but on the image ….so all I have to say is hurrah for Hollywood (video)
Who do you think will win the Academy Award for best picture. The nominees are The Artist, The Decedents, Extremely Loud and Incredibly close, The Help, Midnight in Paris, Money ball, The Tree of life, and War Horse.

My favorite television show has now become the republican debates. They have comedy, drama, conflict and if it keeps going the way it has been going it could have some martial arts thrown in.
I have a question, how did CNN and its band of biased liberals ever get the contract to televise the debates? What a circus, first you see the debates and then afterwards you get the commentators who pick it apart for two hours afterwards. The spin is so crazy it makes me dizzy to watch.

The President had a tough job delivering the state of the union address. I must say the man has charisma. I like him, I like his wife, kids and dog but I don’t like his politics. He stated a number of things that were on the positive side and that is good, the auto industry is doing great. He wants to see the middle class strengthened and the very rich paying their fair share of taxes, how can you fault that? He pointed out that under his watch Osama Bin Laden has been laid to rest. He also pointed out that our troops are coming home and finally the war in Iraq is over. This is all good. However, he did not point out that unemployment is almost at 9 per cent, gasoline is running about 3.70 a gallon, health share cost has gone up and we are billions of dollars more in debt and what have we received for this huge amount of money we have been spending. We have bailed out banks and we have had our credit rating go down. Our kids are paying huge money out on college loans and big government has done little if nothing to help them.
So the president was snubbed by the all star goal tender of the Stanley Cup Champions Boston Bruins. So the question is was Thomas right in what he did? Yes and No. On one hand he should have been there for the team and honoured the office of the President. He may disagree with the politics but the event he should have honoured.

Does this surprise me? No not really because basically we are all flawed. The Bible is full of saints who did stupid things. King David had his fling with Bathsheba, the disciples of Jesus, should have been called the dirty dozen, they were in conflict with each other and when Jesus was going through the toughest time of his life they coped out…
Then you look at the lives of John F. Kennedy and his womanizing, J. Edgar Hoover and his hidden relationship and when we look into the lives of great men and women we find out that amazedly they had moral failures just like you and me.
A video that has gotten a lot of attention lately is done by a young man who shares why he hates religion and loves Jesus. It is very well done and I must say I agree with most of what he says.
I grew up in the Church my dad was a pastor and I have spent most of my life trying to get over the pain that religious people have inflicted on me.
I became very judgmental and very bitter. I fully understand why so many people have a poor image of those who call themselves Christian.
Here is my take on the republican party and their candidates. It looks now like a two horse race. Newt and Mitt leading the pack with Ron Paul and Rick Santorum bringing up the rear.
Ron Paul if he looked like Ronald Reagan would be a shoe in but he looks like an old guy and image is and spin is everything especially in American Politics. Rick Santorum is a nice guy, but honestly I would rather vote for his wife. She is amazing, educated, quick wit, strong willed and attractive. When you put her next to Rick it is no comparison who is the better candidate. Unfortunately she is not running and he is.
Ok here is my take on some of the major stories in the news today. I will state that I am biased and I embrace it. Obama what are you thinking? When you need a boost you drop a bomb. He has rejected the Keystone Project which would have brought oil from Canada to the United States. He listened to some tree huggers and instead of doing the right thing has given in to the environmental lobbyist.
