So if you would have told me that Gene Simmons of Kiss fame would be defending Tim Tebow I am not sure I would believe you…but here it is on video the proof…Gene Simmons is a Tebow supporter. Do you know what I support Gene Simmons. I enjoyed his TV show and I was hooked when he started to share his love for Shannon and the journey he and Shannon took to get married and in the process heal their relationship. The Bible says the truth will set you free and Gene shared his dark secrets with the one he loved and I believe God restored what could have been a disaster of a relationship.
The end result, two players caught it and in football when there is a tie it goes to the offence. So in the official records Seattle won the game. I would suggest that you do not talk to any Green Bay fans or for that matter the ESPN colour commentator. Their take on it was that the ball was intercepted and the ref’s blew it. The truth is, I don’t know what the truth is. They did a video analysis and the minds that be confirmed the Seattle touch down.
So one team is ecstatic and the other is letting everyone know that in their minds they were robbed of a game.
So this is the life lesson. How do you handle situations when you feel you have been done wrong? There will be times when in your heart you know you are right or at least you believe you are right. It is hard sometimes to suck it up and take the high road. Let’s face it someone should pay for the wrong that you believe has been done. I have found that the only thing I can control is my reaction and my attitude. The old saying what goes around comes around is so true.
I personally believe that if we do the right thing, if we take the high road, we will experience a level of maturity and well being that you don’t often see in our society. This does not mean becoming a doormat. This simply means that you are in control of your emotions and you are in control of your thoughts, that my friend is maturity.
So did he catch the ball or was it intercepted? At this point it does not matter, the decision has been made and it is now on to the next game. If you continue to dwell on the past you will not be prepared for the future. My wife has a favourite saying, build a bridge and get over it. That my friend is a winners attitude.
David is an amazing kid when it comes to sports. He is Eleven years old and can name every Q.B. in the N.F.L. and the C.F.L. His predictions are uncanny and besides that he plays Q.B. for the Downtown Giants. He is not a New York Jets fan and is opinionated about Tebow as a quarterback. So tonight he picks New York over Dallas and in the upcoming Pittsburgh game he picks Pittsburgh over Denver. Colts vs. Bears
David picks the Colts. Eagles over the browns…Lions over rams….Houston over Miami..Atlanta over Kansas City…Jacksonville over Minnesota….Saints over Washington…Bill over Jets…New England prevails over Tennessee….Seattle beats up Arizona…Green Bay over San Francisco….Panthers over Buccaneers…Baltimore over Cincinnati…San Diego handles Oakland…So lets see how David does after this week-end…but I would not bet against him. So what do you think?
Time is a humble guy and has a positive outlook on life. Tim has held up well under the scrutiny of the sports media who have not always been kind to him.
Tebow decides to take the higher road and doesn’t gloat, trash talk and even cuss.
His relentless attitude on his religion and not caring about what other people may think or say is refreshing. He stands up for his convictions and morals which is very rare these days.
by Tim, “Something I learned early in college (is) to not worry about what I can’t control…But what I can control is my attitude, my effort, my focus every single day and that’s what I’m trying to worry about.”
The guy is the real deal. It will be interesting to see how this season unfolds for Tim. He is one of those I don’t know how he will do in regards to playing for the New York Jets. I have a feeling that he will do just fine. It is so good to have a role model that kids can look up to and see someone who is not cheating on there girl friends, who is not self possessed, and does not use the f word in every other sentence.
One more statement rare types that defies the experts and somehow wins ball games. I think they call it the X factor. Whatever the X factor is, in regards to sports, Tebow has it. So welcome to the Big Apple Tim and we look forward to what adventures this year brings, it will be a wild ride I am sure.
This is an amazing movie about a school football team in the poor section of Memphis. It is also about the devotion of a coach to his players. It is a story of inspiration, but more than that it is a story of the reality of what young people are subject to when they come from the inner city schools.
One of the lines in the documentary says, “football does not build character but it does reveal character.” The story is about young men who have the cards stacked against them simply because of what they were born into. The way out is not always easy but it is attainable. The coach of the team was is a father figure to many, a mentor and a lifeline to a better life.
Undefeated is so much more than a sports movie… it is a movie about life in the inner city and it is a movie worth spending a few bucks on. So What do you think?
They call it football but lets call it what it really is another excuse to exploit women and sell sex for profit. The idea of women playing football in their underwear is the same as mud wrestling and roller derby . Why not sell it for what it is, a cheap way to exploit women in the disguise of a sport.
The idea that they are putting this league right in the middle of the Bible Belt of Canada, Abbotsford B.C. is a joke. This stands no chance of being financially successful.
Hey if you’re in to skin go to a strip bar at least there you know what they are selling but to go to see women dressed in their underwear in the name of football only demeans the women and the game of football.
I am all for women in sports. My daughter played football in College and she has a great arm and was very good. Women in sports have come along way. Pro basketball, softball, volleyball, tennis you name it and they are playing it.
I think if I was a women I would be disgusted by a bunch of babes in their underpants displaying themselves to a bunch of hard up men who have nothing better to do than attend a farce. This really takes a lot of footballs in my opinion.
So what do you think.
So other than the fact that my Super Bowl party was a party of two it was a great day. The thing is if it is the right two it can be a great party. So what did I think over all? It was a great game and the right team won. My friend in New Zealand Graham Carter got the score right and I was not far off. I won my bet with Coach Mike in New York so its off to a great deli for lunch on him the next time I am in New York.
I thought the half time show was very good. Madonna did the over 50 crowd proud. The idiot who gave the finger showed no class. Somebody said well that the attitude that you find with most hip hop artist. All I understand is some people will do whatever it take to get attention, even if it is negative attention. The problem with negatives is you are bound to reap what you sow and that is simply spiritual law. So you may think your being cute but in reality your just unbuttoned.
Did you see the guy on the wire? That was scary he must have had on a steel jock strap. My favourite part of the half time show was when the choir came on. TO me there is nothing like a soulful choir to get me going.
In every Super Bowl it seems like there is one super play that makes or breaks the game. The catch in the fourth quarter of the game by the New York Giants receiver was one of the best I have seen and I have seen a lot. Now the catch was great but the pass was amazing. It had to be in one certain spot or it could not have been completed and it was perfect. Eli Manning deserved to win the most valuable player.
Now the commercials were good and they should be, especially if your going to spend around 4 million for a thirty second spot. So the star of most of the commercials were dogs. Dogs seem to be hot right now. I know our dog biscuit really enjoyed the commercials. Just a sideline if you have a dog did your dog watch any of the commercials. Biscuit not only watched the commercials but I swear she was rooting for the Giants. So what was your favourite moment? What did you think of the finger incident? How did you like the commercials? How would you rate Madonna’s performance on a scale of 1 to 10? I would love to hear your thoughts on the Super bowl.
Super Bowl Winners, New York or New England?
So the Super Bowl happens in just a couple of days. My pick is New York. I called a friend of mine coach Mike who lives in New York and guess who he picked? Here is a clue it was not New York but it did have a New in it’s name. Mike how could you do this?
Actually Mike is for New York but the coach in him believes New England may pull it off. He is being realistic. I say reality is out the window. New York is hot and Manning is playing lights out. I believe it will be a close game but New York will win 24 to 21. Here is how it goes manning drives down to the twenty yard line and with less than ten seconds remaining they kick a field goal to win the game.
Yes Manning and the boys will be on their way to Disney Land. No doubt about it the New York Giants will win. If you think differently you have a right to be wrong. Tell me why you think New England will win? So what do you think?
Canada and USA Differences, Which Football Rules Are More Legit?
I was sitting in the stadium in Seattle watching Monday Night Football and I started a conversation with the fellow sitting next to me. I asked him if he had heard of the Grey Cup? He said, “What?” I said the Grey Cup Canada’s super bowl. He said do Canadian’s play football? I shared about our B.C. Lions and explained the game of Canadian football to him and he said, Wow, Canada is a different country?
A number of years ago I was in Fort Worth Texas and I shared with some folks that I was from Vancouver British Columbia and they asked me how I liked living in South America? They thought British Columbia was somewhere near Honduras. So it is interesting to talk with my fellow Americans about my life in Canada. Most americans do not realize how different the two countries are. In Canada we have a different form of Government, we have two Official Languages, we say Eh a lot, we are very liberal and we are thought of as a peaceful nation. We have relations with Cuba and we are far more than the frozen north. We are small in numbers but large in land mass. We are rich in natural resources and we have accessible medical for everyone. Hockey is the big sport and our pro baseball team actually won the World series of baseball a number of years ago. Many of the worlds greatest comedians have come from Canada and we have some super stars in the world of music.
Most Canadians are amazed at how out of shape Americans are. The American is about capitalism and Canada leans towards socialism. Americans are perceived to be very condescending towards other countries. America is very nationalistic and they are passionate about sports, politics and their superstar actors. The word loud is often used when discussing the American culture. Americans are also seen as generous and they lead with their hearts. The political world of the United States is seen as corrupt and self serving. They are often seen as America and oh yea the rest of the world.
Here is the thing I am an American living in Canada. I have lived in Canada for 35 years but I spend a lot of time in New York. I enjoy the discussions with Canadians and my American friends about the differences between Canada and the United States. We may be different but we are like siblings that are of the same family but they are very unique in their own right.
America is Canada’s big brother and the reality is Canada lives in the United states Shadow. The truth is we are there for each other and we may disagree and have our spats but we are deeply connected and don’t talk trash about my big brother because you will have little brother to answer to.
So what do you think about America and Americans? If you are American what is your thought about Canada. I would love to hear from both sides. We really do need each other and communication is the key to any successful relationship. As usual my question is So What Do You Think?
