I am sitting in my loft on a beautiful evening in Vancouver B.C. I am looking out over the water at the mountains and I am thinking what a place Terry and I live in. They call it Super Natural British Columbia.
Today I was thinking, how complex nature is. The fact that we are on this ball called Earth and it is spinning and moving and it is so precise that if one little minor thing goes wrong it is over as far as this earth is concerned. So the age-old argument if you see something that is of great design there must be a designer. I am not a scientist but logic does work for me.

A Great Gospel Song

The song is entitled, ” Oh I need Him,” and it is recorded by Andre Crouch and the Disciples. I had the honour of being in the recording studio when this song was first recorded. What I did not realize is the young man singing the song was going through one of the toughest times of his life. The cry for help is heard in this song…..and every-time I hear it I think of the times I have needed Him. Sometimes in life we do not know how we are going to make it. The pain is much the sorrow is too great. Sometimes it is our own failures and sometimes it is the result of what others have done. Have you ever been in that dark place where you have no idea how you will survive another day. Perhaps your own failure or the loss of a loved one or perhaps a tragic illness comes out of no where and leaves you or someone you love on deaths door.

Canadian Tenors Surprised by Celine Dion

It may be my age or perhaps I am just cheesy but I like Celine Dion. I also like the Canadian Tenors and I guess Celine Dion likes them also. In the middle of their rendition of Hallelujah guess who shows up on stage? Well easy guess Celine Dion enters and she does surprise the boys. This is a concert I would have loved to be at.

The End Times?

Do you believe we are living in the end times? There have been volumes written about this subject. So what do I believe? Well at 65 my end time is coming up, it is a number of years away but I can see it coming. We all have expiry date, but what about the world as we know it, does it have an expiry date? Did the ancient biblical prophets foretell the end times? The discussion on CNN sure brings up some good food for thought. The idea that when Israel becomes a nation is a sign and that other nations will align themselves against Israel is evident today.

My good friend Bill Strickland is in town and I thought it would be a splendid idea to post one of his talks on my site. Bill was born in Pittsburgh in a high crime poverty ridden area. It was a big deal just to graduate from school and college was at best a dream not to be achieved. Against all odds Bill made it out of high school and into college and fulfilled his dream of becoming an airline pilot. This was so small task but his greatest challenge was yet before him.

WELCOME BACK–LOVE SONG

I came to know Jesus during what they called the Jesus People Movement. One of the groups that were popular at that time was a group called, Love Song. The leader of the group was Chuck Girard who was an amazing guitar player and wrote some powerful songs. One of them was a song called Welcome Back. THe message is very simple, a lot of people have given up on religion and rightfully so, but they are still hungry for spiritual things.
