Cyber Bullying is an epidemic. It needs to be stopped but how. In this video a brave young lady shares the sickness that is Cyber Bullying. I don’t think parents understand how much of an epidemic this is.
School should not be a place where you try to survive it should be a place where you thrive and lay a foundation for the future. Please lets do all we can to stop the epidemic of Cyber Bullying….
I have become a fan of Spoken Word. I have tried it myself and it is difficult but some people just sem to have the gift. Janette…Ikz shares a truth that every women who calls themselves a Christian should listen to. How many times have I seen people in bad relationships that were caused by loneliness or heat of the moment passion. People who have ended up broken and bruised because the person they married was not the person they thought or wanted them to be.
So here is some wisdom delivered in a very creative way. Hopefully is not just enjoyed and put away but that it is actually heard and understood and acted on. The power of words are only powerful when they are acted on. Words are containers that carry faith or fear so it is so important what words you act on. Hopefully this is for someone that needs to hear these words and perhaps by acting on them it will save a whole load of heartache. So What DO YOU THINK?
Laugh your way to a better marriage is a crazy concept but it works. The idea of finding out how a woman thinks and how a man thinks is dangerous territory but Mark Gungor takes it on. So if you understand a little bit more about how we think do you think it will help in a marriage? I often wonder why people who are so in love in the beginning of a relationship fall out of love in a few years? I mean people who are ga ga over each other suddenly become arch enemies. Is it the fact that love is blind and what we think we see in the other person is just an illusion? I would love some discussion on this. So what do you think is the main reason people divorce? Do you believe it is possible to restore a marriage after all hell has broken loose?
Here is my opinion. In years of speaking around the world I have seen miracles. I have seen couples who everyone around them says they are best suited to be single, make adjustments to their attitudes and their lifestyle and have gone on to have a great marriage. To be honest the one factor that seems to work best is the GOD factor. When I talk about the GOD factor I am talking about forgiveness, repentance and humility. Usually when I see this kind of change it does not just affect the marriage it affects all of the relationships that the couple is involved with. The bottom line is they are better people not just to each other but to everyone around them. The children benefit the most, then their spouse and then their friends. Talk about a win-win situation.
God is the healer of the broken hearted. He is the restorer. He is also able to do far more than we can even think or imagine. That is why the most exciting thing to be involved with is God, because what he is all about is restoring humans to be all that they were created to be. There are a lot of forces in this world that war against marriage and quality relationships, our children have been bombarded with negative images and unhealthy messages everyday but when you have the God factor in your life you can overcome all of this and have a good life full of adventure. I did not say you would be trouble-free but you will have available a power to overcome, it may seem like all is lost and there is no way but Jesus said, “I Am The Way.” He will make a way where there seems to be no way. I know this by 65 years of seeing this truth in action.
The wedding was wonderful and our host were over the top. The wedding was held in a wonderful home in Calgary and I was stunned by how much work our host put into this wedding. We were blessed beyond blessed and I am still feeling the spill over today.
Over the past few weeks I have been involved in an ongoing conversation with friends on Facebook. So much of the conversation has been on what going on the world. I realized what a negative flow I was getting into. So today is the U.S. thanksgiving. So today this thought crossed my mind….what is right with the world? To be more specific what is right in my world?
The thought crossed my mind , what you seek is what you will find. Last night I was moved to tears watching the X factor. The theme was thanksgiving and some of the stories from the talent on the show was deeply moving.
So I am starting my what is right in my world thought. The one thing that stands out most in my life is my relationship with my best friend who happens to be my wife, Terry. We have been married for over 40 years and I think the reason it has lasted the test of time and trails is the deep-rooted friendship we have. There is no one I would rather spend time with then Terry.
As I am writing this I looked out my window and took in the view of the mountains , the ocean and downtown Vancouver and I thought to myself what a fortunate person I am to live in such a beautiful place.
So what is right in your world? I would love to hear your thoughts. Write them down in the comment section and I will put some together and share them in an upcoming video. So once again the simple question is , so what is right in your world? Category: People & Blogs License: Standard YouTube License 0 likes, 0 dislikes Show less
You would think that the older you get the more you figure things out. In my case the older I get the more questions I have.
For example, the election process in the United States. It used to be so simple when I was younger but today all I know is what I don’t know. The spin doctors have spun me around so much that I virtually get dizzy just listening to the candidates. You would think that the older you get the more you figure things out. Religion keeps getting more confusing. People searching for the deep answers to life and what they get in many cases is a really good social community or a dogma that you are told to believe and please do not ask to many questions.
Jesus was a man who had a rag-tag group of followers, he did not have a mansion or a lot of earthly riches but he did have a lot of followers. Today preachers live in mansions , have their own planes and drive cars most of us dream of driving.
Education bothers me. We spend billions on things that would blow your mind….but we pay little to those who educate our greatest resource , our kids.
Professional wrestling , porn, boxing and online gambling is big business…….
We love violence ………swearing is a common part of our vocabulary and women are still being exploited as sex objects.
So the longer I live the bigger list of questions I have. The big question is how do we change or is it to late?
I have tried to stay away from the topic of gun control but I can not do it. I listen to all the arguments for and against gun control and I am left with a few questions. Number one question, Why would you make automatic weapons available to the public? Why is large rounds of ammunition made available to those who desires to buy it? Do you really think the fore fathers meant you have the right to own machine guns, bombs, rocket launchers, flame throwers, automatic rifles? Many North Americans seem to have a Rambo complex. When you feed people a constant diet of extreme violence and you do this starting at a young age then you are subject to the law of reaping and sowing. I fully understand that you cannot legislate morality. I am all about freedom. So why not protect the freedom of those who say, give us some legislation that will make it difficult for people to own automatic weapons and excessive amounts of ammunition. For the gun lovers you can still own your gun but perhaps the wackos of this world may be deterred from owning weapons of mass destruction. Perhaps this is to much to ask of a country that loves its violence.
Jason seems a little ticked when it comes to how some Christians do not understand the word Love, especially when it is defined so clearly in the Bible. (1 Corinthians 13) This seems to be a problem that many evangelical Christians are dealing with. When it comes to certain topics like, can a gay person be a Christian, or is the concept of Gay and Christian even possible? I guess the other question is homosexuality a sin? Men sleeping with men and women sleeping with women, to me a heterosexual it does not seem right but I because I cannot grasp the concept is it wrong? The other big question is a person born Gay or do they become gay because of a series of circumstances that influence them to become gay?
I am in no way a theologian. I do know that how many evangelicals react to those who are gay is sad. If they were as fervent about loving as they are about judging and being right, the Christian faith would be a lot more attractive. I believe the beauty of the message of grace and forgiveness is far superior to the message of judgement and condemnation. I think Jesus would not be appalled by the Gay community, would be comfortable hanging out with them. I say that because Jesus was accused of being a wine bibber and a party animal and he was not your religious nut.
So with that I give you Jason, who states his case and it will not be a popular stance amongst fundamentalist. However being popular is not what being a Christian is all about. The concept of loving , caring, forgiving and being a light in a dark world is what a Christian is to be. So love your neighbor even if he or she is gay….it goes a long way in my opinion to being God like.
One of my heroes in life is Lou Holtz. He is an amazing man who has the ability to share basic truths in a way that motivates people to a better life. He has had his struggles and self doubts but he has risen above them to become one of Americas most respected people. Why the respect? I believe it is because he lives what he teaches. One of his famous sayings is, “it is one thing to find the ability within yourself it is another to find the ability in another person.” Lou has taught for years the principals involved in doing the right thing. The world is a better place because of people like Lou Holtz. Here are a few more details concerning Lou Holtz.
